About FSSAI
Food Safety and Standards Authority of India
(FSSAI) is an autonomous body established under
the Ministry of Health Family Welfare,
Government of India with the vision of
maintaining food hygiene standards. FSSAI is
responsible for protecting and promoting public
health through the regulation and supervision of
food safety. Every business that enters into the
food industry, directly or indirectly, requires
FSSAI registration or license to start a
business under food industry. Whether you are
food transporter (like food panda), hawker,
restaurant, hotel, running canteen in the
school, manufacturing, processing or re-packer
of edible items. You must require registering
under FSSAI.
