WOW! Ever since Spiderman first appeared way
back when what was only meant to be a one time
thing, he's gone on to become one of the most
beloved and popular of all superheroes that was
ever created. Firstly appearing in comic books
and then eventually to our big screens in the

In fact Spiderman was only created as a one time
affair in Amazing Fantasy 15 but went on to
become one of the most profitable superheroes
ever created by Marvel. So much so that
Spiderman has become a massive franchise all on
its own and in and of itself. And Spider Man is
more than just comic books and movies. The whole
franchise is made up of not just comics and
books, but cartoons, video games and of course
the movies too. You'll find Spiderman featuring
in or sponsored by an almost infinite amount of
comic books, many series and movies. Both the
animated, stop motion and real life movies.

When Spiderman was first on the seen in the
movies, he was sensible and plain old Peter
Parker. Just another semi-typical but lonely
student in high school. Peter was more interested
in just reading books and studying than anything
else or let alone anyone else. Yet when he comes
into contact with and is bitten by a radioactive
spider he takes on the strengths and abilities
of a spider itself. This is when things start to
get really interesting for Peter. Instead of
succumbing to any ill effects that a venomous
spider bite might have. Thanks be to the new
powers and skills and that Peter has, he goes on
to create and sew a red body suit for himself.
Something one can only be sure that all those
home economic classes must have helped with.
Along with a webbing device, Peter starts
wrestling to make some money for himself. Then
after a bad event which sees his uncle being
killed by some thieves that he lets get away,
Peter goes from not caring about anything or
anyone other than making money to going on to
becoming a crime fighting superhero. Mainly
inspired by his own guilt of the death of his
uncle. In the recent movies, especially the
first one that features Tobey Maquire as
Spiderman and Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane.
Released in 2002 and it focused on the career of
Spiderman. It was controversially a genetically
modified spider as opposed to a radioactive one
that bit Peter with its venom. It's with these
new powers that Peter has that makes him go face
to face with the Green Goblin. Who is of course,
played by Willem Dafoe. The huge success of the
movie propelled the making of Spiderman 2 back
in 2004 only to face up to Doctor Octopus the
multi tentacled multi experiment gone wrong that
he was. Several years later back in 2007 and
Spiderman 3 is released. And this is where
Spiderman goes up against his biggest nemesis
yet. The one and only black venom. And as you may
know if you've seen the movie, the fight scene
between Spiderman and Venom himself is one of the
best. The black venom alien suit itself goes on
to become a franchise in and of itself just as
