VASTU TIPS FOR RELATING TO THE MAIN DOOR/ENTRANCE
OF THE HOUSE

• The South-east direction is owned by Agni, the
  Lord of fire. The sun, as we all know, is the
  harshest when it reaches this direction and hence
  this area of a house is always attributed to
  fire-related devices. The ruling planet is Shukra
  (Venus) Being a highly sensitive direction, great
  care should be taken while handling this
  direction, especially while striking a balance
  with the opponents of Fire viz. the element of
  Water and Air. Properties facing this direction
  are considered average because this direction
  should be allocated to the kitchen, being the
  place of agni but if there is no kitchen in
  South-east then it should be free from any other
  construction such as living room for couple or
  any other such area.

Some important points about the south-east

• A kitchen in the south-east is a wonderful idea
  as this direction is owned by the Agnidev. All
  food cooked here is believed to be blessed by the
  deity and hence is supposed to bring about health
  and prosperity for it members.
• A bedroom in this direction can prove to be
  disastrous as it may cause serious behavioral
  problems for its occupants. The ultra-violet rays
  of the sun get accumulated in this direction
  throughout the day thereby causing strained
  marital relations, even leading to divorce in
  many cases.

• Problems relating to electricity and electronic
  equipments would be given an open invitation if
  an overhead water tank is placed in this portion
  of the house. Similar is the case with
  underground water tanks as it would cause unrest
  and clashes among the family members, friends and
  relatives. It may even give rise to legal and
  administrative issues.
• Fire-related accidents are expected if there
  happens to be a water slope or a swimming pool
  heading towards the south-east of a plot. Fire
  and water being contrasting elements cannot be
  placed on a common platform ever.

• One should never make a Puja room, study room or
  store important files and valuables in this
  corner of the house. The heated up environment of
  this direction would destroy everything stored
  here.
• The main entrance of a house should never be in
  the South-east as it would create legal problems
  for its occupants.
• Losses in business organizations are incurred if
  a mirror is placed on the south-east walls?

South-east should not have the following

• No bedroom
• No dining
• No Airconditioner
• No washing machine
• No underground and overhead water tank.

What to avoid in the South-east

• Fire is an essential essence of our life and
  hence fire-attributed direction, South-east,
  should be absolutely Vastu compliant.
• Only fire or heat related objects can be easily
  incorporated in this direction like boilers,
  transformers and so on
• Any kind of extension in this part should be
  avoided as this would bring in bad luck,
  misfortune and loss of health. It even causes
  heavy debts. Insomnia, loss of wealth etc.

• A worship place or a bedroom should never be
  placed here and this direction should be teamed
  with heavy material
• A septic tank or drainage should be avoided too
  as it welcomes theft, fire accidents and other
  issues.
• This direction should never be alloted to
  marriageable boys as this may delay their
  marriage prospects.
• The women occupants of the house suffer the most
  if this direction is not used as per Vastu
  principles.

professional what I have always seen is that when
we talk about the South-east plots it should be
utilised with great efficiency in order to attain
a steady, progressive and peaceful life and there
should be no bedroom or Pooja room in this
direction at any cost. If you are careful about
these basic Vastu rules relating to the
South-east nothing can ever go wrong and you
would only attain success and prosperity in
