  2017 rule. The offer of distance education must
  be six months before the commencement of the

  this rule has passed on June 23.

• During the course period, the institution is
  responsible for offering the programmes which are
  approved by the statutory bodies of the
  university or the approval of the concerned
  Regulatory bodies of the university. In the
  present day, the institutional recognition
  doesnt come under the UGC, and the attention is
  given based on the program wise.
• Verification
• The degree verification of the students is done
  by the issuing authority which concerned by the
  university and the UGC. The UGC will provide the
  issuing and the verification status which is
  available in the UGC official site.
• Technical courses
• Through distance education, no professional
  degree can persuade. The UGC and the AICET dont
  allow any university to permit its students
  perusing the degrees like BE and BTECH. But MBA
  and MCA are allowed to be studied in distance
  education according to the India education board
  norms.

• There is no distance course offered through
  online which is approved by UGC. The online mode
  of education is still not permitted in India
