What are the Causes of Clinking Noise in Car

Description:

One of the most important things for a car is its maintenance and servicing for smooth running and better performance. However, owners tend to be complacent when it comes to servicing and maintaining their car which eventually leads to issues. Title: What are the Causes of Clinking Noise in Car

1
What are the Causes of Clinking Noise in Car
2
For the smooth running of the car engine and to
balance its functions, it needs to be cranked up
by a flywheel when it turned by a starter motor.
3
The abnormal sounds of the car are specifying the
underlying anomaly and force the engine for
refusing to operate.
4
If you find clinking noise when you start the
car, then make sure that your car has some issues
related to the engine.
5
The below points helps you to recognize the
causes behind the clinking noise in your car.
6
Battery corrosion
7
When the inadequate amount of power supplied to
the car's starter motor, the battery terminal is
corroded and a car will produce clinking sound.
8
To fix the corrosion issues, open up the hood
and check the battery terminal. If you notice
blue, green deposits, then clean the terminal to
restore proper voltage supply.
9
Dead battery
10
Due to the low electrolyte level or
malfunctioning of alternator can caused a dead
battery. So, check the battery output voltage of
a voltmeter.
11
If the voltmeter is shown below 12 V, then it
either define an electrolyte selected battery or
alternator unable to provide a requisite voltage
output.
12
So, fix the alternator of your car and replenish
the electrolyte level of the battery to solve the
problem.
13
Starter motor issues
14
The dead starter motor of your car may cause the
issues like clinking noise and car is not
starting as well.
15
Due to the lack of voltage power or faulty
triggering mechanism, the starter motor will be
broken down and unable to get into action.
16
Loose starter connection
17
If the alternator or battery of your car is
damaged, then another possibility arises in your
car is the loosely connected starter wire.
18
So, manually locate the exact starter wire
circuit of the car and check their continuity
using a voltmeter.
19
Problems in solenoid
20
When the starter solenoid of the car has
malfunctioned, it can break the ignition circuit.
So, check the entire circuit along with the
motor.
21
So, regularly maintain the battery, starter
solenoid and check up the alternator to prevent
the recurrence of clinking noise in the car.
