Absconding cases
A new wave of relief has spread in UAEwith the
recent Amnesty Programmebegan from
August 01 to October 30,2018.
Applicants can also clear absconding casesand
re-new the expired visas or apply for anew visa.

the cases, no fines orpenalties are levied,
and no entry ban willbe imposed. A new visa for

Temporary Visa for job seekers
Amnesty-seekers looking for a job canobtain
a temporary visa for six-monthsperiod to
search for an employment, andthey shall not be
subject to any entry banas they can re-enter
the country with a
valid visa.
Emergency Certificate
Who is benefitted
If any amnesty-seeker intends to exit
thecountry, an emergency certificate with
21days validity will be issued by
theimmigration authorities.

formerresidents of UAE, who either overstayed,

atwo-year ban from the date of exit and
canre-enter after the completion of the
banperiod.
The Indian embassy, on the other hand,have
announced to waive the fees onemergency
certificate charges for theIndian
amnesty-seekers.
Fees
A fee of AED. 220 is being charged on theexit
permit. For modifications in
theresidency visa, a fee of AED.500 will
becharged.
Pakistan embassy also extending supportto the
amnesty seekers by providingpassports
relating services free of cost.
Amnesty for war-torn countries

who havebeen presently residing in UAE, wherein
aone-year residence visa shall be
