Title: Ways to Manage the Industrial Wastewater
1Ways to Manage the Industrial Wastewater
Ways to Manage the Industrial Wastewater
2Electric Power Plants
It generates a large volume of wastewater from
facilities that generate electricity from fossil
fuels such as a coal. The wastewater contains a
wide variety of contaminants such as arsenic,
nitrogen compounds, and metals. It is very
important to filtrate the wastewater. To treat
wastewater, use ash ponds. Other treatment like
closed-loop ash recycling, recycling, chemical
precipitation and the use of ion exchange
membranes as well as electrodialysis systems.
3Food and Beverage Industry
The wastewater in these industries is
biodegradable. So before releasing the water into
common waterways, on-site treatment is very
important. As we know these industries use a
large volume of water in the cleaning process, so
proper wastewater treatment can help them recycle
a lot of it and thus save on overhead expenses.
The wastewater contains strong organic waste from
animal slaughter like body fluids and blood,
plant organic material, alkali, acids, and
flavorings as well as preservatives from the food
processing plants.
4Mechanical Garages
The most common water pollutants in the motor
vehicle industry are industrial oils. The
machines are rinsing with oil and petroleum when
the work is done, that ends up in the wastewater
channels. Most of these contaminants including
other solvents and lubricants find their way into
the sewer system and are often dealt with at the
municipal water treatment facilities. There are
several other methods that are used to treat and
purify the water before releasing it into the
environment.
