  • Word Maggi comes from the swiss entrepreneur
    Julius Maggi
  • Came into existence in 1872 in Switzerland when
    Julius Maggi took over his father's mill
  • Aim was to provide more nutritional food for
    working class families
  • Introduced legume based meals in the market
    followed by readymade soups

  • Launched Maggi seasoning cubes in 1886 to help
    improve the flavor of food
  • Founded the Maggi GmbH in 1897 in Germany
  • Merged with Nestle in 1947 and formed
