Dr. Rajiv Dahiya
Board Certified Radiation Oncologist
Dr. Rajiv Dahiya has been a cancer specialist in
Radiation Oncology since 2002. He attended the 6
year combined BA-MD program straight out of high
school at the University of Missouri Kansas
City School of Medicine from 1988 to 1994. He
then came to Dallas to begin his first residency
in Internal Medicine at Baylor University Medical
Center from 1994 to 1997.

Dr. Rajiv S. Dahiya is a Florida and Texas-based
cancer specialist experienced in a broad range of
procedures including CyberKnife and Gamma Knife
Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), Tomotherapy,
prostate and gynecologic brachytherapy (both High
Dose Rate HDR and Low Dose Rate LDR). He is an
expert in using such technologies such as
Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT) and Image
Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) to help better
target and treat complex cancers. He sees many
patients who have failed traditional therapies
and are seeking hyper-specialized cancer
treatment options.

Technology
We now have the ability to do targeted Prostate
Cancer therapy using the advanced Cyber Knife in
just 5 days. Clinical data including long-term
cure rates is outstanding for early stage
disease. I have patients who play golf right
after their treatments are done. These minimally
invasive treatments are really making a
significant difference in decreasing side effects
because we are putting the radiation where it
needs to goright at the tumors and protecting
normal organs located around the tumor. This is
really very exciting
