disease, is an infection of gums surrounding the
teeth. If your gums bleed easily or are swollen

gum disease that can progress into periodontitis.
  • In order to avoid gum disease, you must visit
your dentist and have regular dental checkups. If
you already have gum disease then you need to see
a dentist in order to get treatment and prevent
    further complications.

B. Tooth decay
  • Tooth decay, popularly known as cavities, occurs
when you eat sugar or starches that form a sticky
film of bacteria on the surface of your teeth.
This film is called plaque. This combination
produces an acid that attacks tooth enamel. You
can get cavities at any age. The easiest way to
prevent tooth decay is to brush your teeth twice
a day and eat lots of fruits and vegetables.
Also, you need to avoid sugary food.

C. Mouth Sores
  • Mouth sores are an inflammation of any of the
structures in the mouth such as lips, tongue,
cheeks and gums. There are several types of mouth
sores but these are generally not so serious
unless the mouth sore lasts more than two weeks.
Common mouth sores refer to canker sores and
fever blisters also known as cold sores. Using a
brush with soft bristles as well as using the
right brushing technique can go a long way
    towards preventing mouth sores.

D. Oral Cancer
  • Oral cancer is a serious dental issue that
affects millions of people. Oral cancer can occur
due to excessive usage of tobacco with alcohol.
It starts small. The symptoms of oral cancer
starts includes lumps, sores or rough areas in
the mouth. Most cases occur after the age of 40.
  • Many times, the oral cancer is not detected on
time and usually, by the time it is noticed, the
cancer is already at an advanced stage. Try to
stop smoking if you want to avoid being a victim
of oral cancer and make sure to visit your
    dentist often.
  • These are some serious dental problems that, if
