- Nations of Origin background and facts
- Nations of Origin is a multifaceted sport,
cultural, education and leadership program. - Nations of Origin has become the largest Aborigina
l youth sporting event in NSW. - Team nominations for the 2018 tournament
involve 58 rugby league teams, 25 football
teams, 14 netball teams, 36 basketball teams
and 30 - 1218 young people have registered to participate
in teams for 2018 with a further 100 young people
in supporting roles.
5- Blue Light is one of our most successful and
engaging programs for young people. The program
is run internationally, with every State and
Territory in Australia participating, as well as
New Zealand, Fiji, Cook Islands and Papua New
Guinea.
6Project Booyah
What Is Project Booyah? Project Booyah actively
engages young people (aged 15 18 years) to
build resilience and engagement with education
and community, to facilitate their career path
and encourage positive life choices. PCYC NSW, in
conjunction with the NSW Police Force Youth
Command, provides individual and group
programming, mentoring, vocational pathways,
skill development, literacy and numeracy support,
sport, friendship, workshops, camps and
socialisation strategies to build resilience and
strength of character, enabling young people to
recognise their worth and their ability to make
better decisions for their lives. Project Booyah
is funded under a grant from the Australian
Government.
