What Do You Mean By CPR?
CPR Likewise everyone, you might be aware of
the fact that CPR is an acronym for
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation a process that
increases the survival chances of cardiac arrest
victims. But have you ever thought about what
CPR means? In a nutshell, you know that a
responsible bystander applies CPR to an

means, word by word Cardio Cardio means

pumps blood by contracting and expanding over 60
times per a minute. The electric impulses keep
the body alive automatically through the
heart. The main function of the heart is to pump
oxygenated blood from the lungs to the remaining
part of the body. So when the heart stops
functioning, oxygen cant reach throughout the
body.

As a result, the important organs start breaking
down instantly. Within a matter of a few minutes,
the tissues die which can cause brain damage,
or even worse condition, death. Pulmonary
Pulmonary means the lungs. Generally, the human
takes around 15-25 breaths per minute. So, every
time you take a breath, your lungs fill with
oxygen which is very important for
functionality. After all, oxygen is must to keep
your body up and going. The issues in your body
dont store much oxygen, and therefore oxygen
should be restored constantly. But when a person
collapses suddenly, the tissues wont get
sufficient amount of oxygen.
Resuscitation Resuscitation means Restoration
of life of someone who appears to be dead. As
soon as your heart stops functioning,your lungs
wont get oxygen necessarily. When oxygen runs
out completely, the tissues and cells start dying
including the brain death. However, the average
time length when a cell starts to die is around
four to six minutes. After 10 minutes, the
revival is not possible.
