Camping in Badlands National Park Have you been

Dakota? Look no further than the Badlands
National Park. The Badlands host dramatic
landscaping which spans across layered rock
formations, steep canyons, and massive spires.
You'll feel as though you've stepped back in time
as animals such as bison, bighorn sheep, and
prairie dogs roam the open grasslands throughout.
Ancient fossils suggest that animals such as the
saber-toothed cat once roamed the plains. As you
head across highway 240 through the Badlands
you'll be tempted to stop at each scenic overlook

If you're a first timer to the Badlands, you'll
most likely want to do front country camping at
either of the two campgrounds inside the park,
Cedar Pass Campground or Sage Creek Campground.
Unfortunately, no campfires are allowed but you
can bring your own grills and camp stoves. The
weather across these great plains will have you
seeing sunshine one minute and cold, windy
weather the next. We recommend you keep a few
