1Trophy Making
An art of engraving
2Trophies from medieval time
Trophies always have been the best way for
expressing any kind of appraisal or respect for
any person. From long ago winners are awarded
with trophies for showing respect to them. Before
long ago things like swords, rings and other
precious jeweler were also considered as trophies
given to warriors. There were also trophies
which were made out of animals teeth, nails and
ever skin.
Previously metals like brass, copper and even
gold were used to make trophy cups which were
considered of high respect and as a symbol of
hard work and winning in any games or wars.
3How are trophies made?
Selecting the occasion
First you have to understand what your are
appreciating by trophy and decide the theme of
the trophy as per the occasion. Generally medals
are gifted where there are runner ups in which
the person with first, second and third position
are awarded. Tournaments and leagues like
football, gold, formula one race have trophies to
be awarded. Its specific and a bit tradition
which is followed from a long time to gift medals
or trophies for a particular stream of event.
Educational awards ceremonies mostly have
medals which are used for appraisal of someone
for their achievement or Nobel work.
4How are trophies made?
Selecting the material
Trophies, medals and awards can be made out of
various materials which defines the receivers
efforts and where he stood in the competition.
Awarding a trophy or medal made out from a
specific material symbolizes the rank of a
particular person. For example the person who
stood first in a competition is awarded with gold
trophy or medal and the second or third might be
awarded with silver and brass medal or trophy
respectively. Previously trophies were also made
from bones, stones and wood, which were engraved
to make a piece of art from the same. Now a days,
with the help of modern machinery we are able to
create much beautiful trophies than ever. We
can almost mould any thing to any shape and these
machinery can be used to engrave the surfaces
very precisely and beautifully.
5How are trophies made?
Selecting the design
While making trophy, design is the key aspect,
where as in the old days they have to just
imagine in their mind and start molding or
engraving a trophy to give the imaginative shape,
they have the option of sketching it down on
paper but that wont help much in giving a clear
vision of how the ultimate piece of art will look
like. Today we have 3d modeling software's which
takes care of how a trophy will look like giving
a very clear idea how the actual trophy will look
like. Design also depends upon for what the
trophy will be awarded for, like if its a
tournament of football, golf, shooting, racing
etc.. The design of the trophy should match the
theme of the event like this soccer trophies .
6Manufacturing Process
The actual process start when all the material
and design is finalized and later the dye in
which casting will be done is to be prepared for
the Trophies Melbourne. Then the material which
is selected is melted and poured in the dye.
After which it is cooled in the temperature
controlled room and the process of buffing and
polishing starts. Then the engraving is to be
done, which includes logo, names and whatever the
desired textual engraving is to be done. If the
trophy is of wood then the engraving and
polishing work is to done consecutively.
7Trophy An art
Trophy is not just an item which will be given to
a winner, its more of a art form now a days.
Professional trophy makers from all over the
world makes such a beautiful piece of art like
perpetual trophy which touches the heart of the
receiver. Trophies are also very rare and
precious collectibles and if they are of some
great event or celebrity than its importance is
increased much. Sports events like golf,
football, soccer game have customized trophy
which has a ball or soccer shoes which is more
adorable than a tradition trophy.
8Quality Check up
After trophy is made there is to be a final
inspection because it means a lot to someone who
have put that much effort to get that trophy.
If there is some defect or the trophy is not as
per the customer then it is need to be rectified.
Trophies need a lot of attention, because you
want to make sure it looks perfect and shiny
without any defect.
