• Introduction
• Rubber is a natural Isoprene polymer and is known
  for its elasticity, hence also known as
  elastomer. Synthetic rubber is also produced. It
  is non-reactive and non conducive. Moreover it is
  electric resistant. It consists of isoprene
  molecules fitting as a loose chain thereby
  creating chemical links in between each chain.
  The chain consists of hydrogen and carbon
  molecules.

• Purpose of rubber roller
• Conveyor belt rubber roller is a closed ring with
  a vulcanized or metallic joint used for
  transportation of materials. Fabric is also used
  instead of rubber. IT is used for moving solid
  objects and bilk material at high speed capable
  of covering distances. It generally comes in
  three components
• Carcass
• Covers
• Skims
• The belts can be of two types - rubber and steel
  cord.

• Components of rubber roller
• The carcass provides tensile strength to
  transport the load. It helps to absorb the impact
  of the material loaded on the conveyor belt. It
  provides lateral stiffness required for the
  support. The rubber found in between the piles
  are called Skim. It provides internal belt
  adhesion playing a significant role in trough
  ability and load support. Covers protect the base
  of the carcass extending its life.

• Apart from selecting the material it is also
  important to choose the right thickness. The
  abuse on the belt can be reduced by the cover.
  Rubber roller with diameter upto 66 inches and
  overall length of 273 inches is an added
  advantage. The roller can be balanced to static
  or dynamic upon request. Various elastomers are
  available like natural rubber, neoprene, hypalon,
  nitrile, styrene, silicone, anti-static compounds
  and more.

• Specifications of rubber rollers
• The rubber roller comes in varied finishes like
  flat or smooth. The grooving services include
  lateral serrations, double taper, drilling,
  circumferential serrations, web spreader,
  herringbone, left hand groove, inverse crown,
  parabolic crown among others.

  variation, chemicals, solvents and different
  running speeds. The roller uses are subject to
  environmental suitability and hardness.
