This kind of inspection is done on monthly to
quarterly basis due to requirements of the
manufacturer and frequency of the defects found.
They must be performed on below given equipments

• Deformed, cracked, or corroded members.
• Cracked or worn sheaves and drums.
• Distorted parts such as bearings, shafts,
• gears, pins, locking and rollers.
• Excessive wear of chain drive sprockets
• excessive chain stretch.
• Loose rivets or bolts etc.

Frequent Inspection
Crane maintenance and inspection services have to
be frequent for all kinds of visual inspections
and operational checks for all critical
items. This includes items which are in listed
in the standards and codes such as chain, hooks,
rope and wires. Frequent inspections are
required to be done on a monthly basis generally
or especially when there shall not be any
periodic inspections.
