Title: PDO Thread Lift The Answer To Sagging Skin

1
PDO Thread lift the answer to sagging skin
  • Thread lift is an innovative technique which not
only lifts the skin, but also stimulates collagen
    synthesis inside the skin.

2
What is a thread lift procedure?
  • it is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that
    rejuvenates the skin.
  • In this treatment, biodegradable and
self-dissolvable polymer threads are used to lift
the sagging contours of the cheeks, jawline, and
    the neck.
  • It is commonly known as Lunchtime Lift because it
takes less than 90 minutes to perform.
  • Thread lift is less riskier than the traditional
    surgical facelift procedure.
  • It is a reversible procedure and the effects wear
off after 18 to 24 months.
  • The results of thread lift procedure are natural
and smoother unlike those of surgical facelift
    which produces drastic results.

3
How does the thread lift works?
  • The threads are inserted into the pre-marked
areas of the face and are oriented to resist the
    gravitational pull responsible for sagging.
  • The number of threads to be inserted depends upon
    the total treated area.
  • Thread lift procedure aims to lift the sagging
skin, revoluminise, and to stimulate collagen
production for improving tone and elasticity of
    the skin.
  • The doctor inserts the thread into the skin with
the help of a hollow needle unto the depth of 3-5
mm the thread by passes the epidermis, dermis,
subcutaneous tissues, collagen, and reaches the
    fibroblasts.
  • The thread is then taken out from the other end
by pushing it in upward direction.
  • The thread is pulled tight from both ends so that
the cones embed into the subcutaneous fat,
lifting the skin and kick starting the
    inflammation process.

4
What is the composition of threads?
  • Silhouette Lift is made of polylactic acid, which
has been used extensively in the medical field
    for many years.
  • PDO is made up of polydioxanone, which is used as
suture in cardiac and plastic surgery.
  • Both the threads are made from a strong synthetic
    monofilament fibers.
  • This fiber dissolves into the tissue with time,
    leaving no traces behind.

5
Where can we perform thread lift procedure?
  • Commonly thread lift is performed on the middle
and lower part of the face including
  • Lower jaw
  • Jowls
  • Neck
  • However it can also be used to lift the skin of
  • Arms
  • Breasts
  • Inner thighs

6
How long does the procedure last?
  • The treatment time is very short thats why it is
    known as lunchtime lift.
  • Ideally it takes around 60 to 90 minutes for the
procedure to complete including preparation and
    treatment.
  • Minor to moderate swelling, bruising and redness
is to be expected after the procedure that will
subside within a day or two. There may be a
slight wrinkling of the skin following the
treatment, which will dissipate after a few days.
  • In the following weeks it is advisable to not
indulge in high intensity sports and exercises.
  • Sleeping on the back is recommended

7
Are all treatments the same?
  • Every face is unique and requires different type
    of thread work.
  • doctors may advise thread lift in a matrix style
the threads will be of smooth type and will be
placed in a crisscross manner to provide support
    to the skin.
  • It takes an expert doctor to gauge the
requirements of the face based on the skin
    conditions.
  • A doctor trained in thread lift courses London
will guide the patients about the expected
    outcomes of the procedure.
  • The patients should have realistic expectations
    form the procedure.
