Steps to borrow Kindle books from Kindle store
  • Open the Kindle Book Store from any of your
    browsers, and highlight the title you want to
    lend.
  • Go to the product details page of that purchased
    book and click on the option to Loan this book.
    Once you click on to borrow a book, it will
    direct you to the page to Loan that book.

    receive that Kindle book. You can also type in a
    message with it if you want as it is optional
  • Now click on the option to Send.
  • If you are unable to lend books from Kindle book
    Store, then try to borrow them by logging into
    your Amazon account.

Steps to borrow books from Amazon account
  • Sign in to your Amazon account using the
    registered email address and password.
  • Go to the option to Manage Content and Devices
    to Manage Kindle devices.
  • Highlight the title you want to lend and click on
    the Actions button on it. A list of options
    will open up, so select the option to borrow
    it. If you do not find the option for Loan, then
    it means that book is not eligible for lending.

  • Type in the email ID for the recipient along with
    a message if you want.
  • Now click on the option to Send that book.
  • You can also lend books from your friends if they
    have the title you want. For this, you need to
    receive an email notification which permits you
    to download and view those books on your Kindle
    Fire tablet, Ereader or any other Kindle Ereader
    application.

Steps to download a borrowed book for which you
have received a notification email
  • Click on the email that says "A Loaned Book for
    You."
  • Select the option to Get the loaned book
    now. The web browser will direct you to the sign
    in page of Amazon.com, So enter your login
    credentials to open the account for accepting the
    borrowed book.

  • To agree to Loan that book on Fire tablet,
    Ereader, or any other Kindle Ereader app, choose
    the device on which you want to receive that book
    and click on the option to Accept that loaned
    book.
  • If a user does not possess a Kindle Fire tablet,
    Kindle Ereader, or Kindle Ereader app, then they
    should click on the option to Accept that loaned
    book and go through the on-screen guide to
    Download Kindle App. Doing this will allow the
    user to read that borrowed book.
