Procedure for applying under subclass 189 is
segregated into three simple steps

• Step-1
• To apply for the visa, the initial step that
  to be taken is to get a complete skills
  assessment with the relevant government body
  through online visa assessment. The same would be
  evaluated by the Department of Immigration and
  Border Protection (DIBP) to get to know if you
  are able to establish in Australia. Then, a
  positive skill assessment would be issued.

Procedure for applying under subclass 189

• Step-2
• Thereafter, you are required to lodge an
  Expression of Interest through Skill Select. It
  can be lodged in or outside the country.
• Step-3
• In response of your Expression of Interest,
  you will be issued an Invitation To Apply (ITA)
  by the Department of Immigration and Border
  Protection. At this stage, you have to submit a
  complete application for the PR visa.

Conditions

• Once your application is approved, you will be
  given a 5-year multiple entry visa that lets you
  work and live anywhere in Australia.
• You are required to live in the country at least
  for 2 years out of the 5 years tenure to get it
  reissued or apply for a Resident Return Visa, in
  case you want to come back to your country.
• With 4 years consecutive stays in Australia, you
  can further apply for the citizenship.
