• Hepatitis C or HCV (hepatitis C virus) for short,
  was only discovered in 1989, a blood borne
  infection that is highly contagious and deadly if
  not treated early.   It causes liver disease and
  possibly cirrhosis as the virus destroys the
  liver overtime.

Who can be treated with generic Harvoni?

• Forty five percent of the worlds hepatitis C
  population can be treated with Harvoni.
• First consult with your gastroenterologist (GI)
  or primary care physician, they will inform you
  of the hepatitis C test results.  If you test
  positive then, you will have to find out what
  kind of hepatitis C you have.  This means taking
  a HCV antibody test to find out your unique
  genotype.

There are approximately 7 genotypes of hepatitis
C in the human population, based on race and
ethnicity. Genotypes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 , 6
7 Europeans usually, but not always, fall under
the genotype 1.  Generic Harvoni treats genotypes
