Protective Clothing
  • Protective Clothing MUST be worn at ALL times.
    This includes
  • Safety Boots
  • Gloves
  • HI VIS Clothing
  • Safety Glasses

Arriving At Location
  • When arriving at a Depot you must turn on your
    flashing beacons as you enter the gate.
  • If another van is using the Decanting Facilities
    then you should park your vehicle in a suitable
    location.
  • Once the Facilities are free, maneuver your
    vehicle so that it backs up to the Decanting
    Facilities.

Safety On Site
  • Connect the Ground Cable to the grounding point
    located on the Sites Tank.

Safety On Job
  • If at any time there is a problem with the
    decanting procedure or a hazard arises during the
    decanting process, hit the Emergency Stop button
    to immediately stop all electrics in the rear of
    the van.
  • If at any time you feel at risk or any member of
    the public or anyone on site is at risk, press
    the emergency stop button and retreat to a safe
    distance away from the vehicles and any fast
    moving traffic. CALL 0800 772 3842 IMMEDIATELY
    (if necessary, always phone 999 first) and ensure
    no one enters the working area.

Safety On Job
  • The van is equipped with the following safety
    equipment
  • A fire extinguisher
  • An eye wash kit
  • A first aid box
  • A spill kit
  • All information on the locations of these items
    can be found on PAGE 2.

Decanting Process
  • Open cabinet A using the key.
  • Press the green button on the display and wait
    until it reads ready.
  • Press and hold your fob against the metal reader
    until your hear the beep.
  • You now have 10 seconds to open cabinet B (if
    you do not open it in time, press the reset
    button and start again)

Decanting Process
  • Connect the 1-inch Outlet Hose Coupling to the
    coupling in cabinet B.
  • Turn on your van and activate the electrics in
    the rear.

  • Activate the Outlet Pump
  • Check for leaks and stop the decanting procedure
    if a leak is detected. Use the spill kit if
    necessary (decanting may be restarted once the
    leak is fixed).

  • Check your gauge.
  • Once your tank is empty, turn off the Outlet
    Pump.
  • Disconnect the 1-inch Outlet Hose Coupling and
    store it back in the van.
  • Close the door on cabinet B.
  • Press and hold the RED button in cabinet A
    until it reads thank you
  • Close the door on Cabinet A.

Decanting Process
  • Disconnect the Ground Cable from the ground point
    and store it in the van.
  • Ensure all doors on both cabinets are locked and
    secured.
  • Secure your van and turn off the electrics to the
    rear.
  • If you encounter any problems while decanting
    call 0800 772 3842.
  • All incidents must be recorded on an Incident
    Report Form

Completion
  • You have successfully emptied your tank.
  • Remember to turn off your flashing beacons as you
    leave the site.
