Title: Must-See Tourist Attractions on the Gold Coast

1
Must-See Tourist Attractions on the Gold Coast
2
  • The Gold Coast is a hub of exciting
    entertainment, sunny beaches, stunning wildlife
and fun attractions. Basically, theres plenty to
do and see here, which makes it one of
Australias most popular holiday spots. However,
some Gold Coast tourist attractions are simply
more exciting than others. Below are four of the
hottest tourist attractions in good ole Goldy.

3
Soak Up Some Sun at the Beach
  • Australias Gold Coast is famous for its
beaches. In fact, Goldy has 57 kilometres of
these beautiful, sandy attractions. Some of the
most famous and attractive beaches include,
    Burleigh Heads, Currumbin, Broadbeach, Duranbah,
Palm Beach, Kirra, Coolangatta, Nobby Beach,
Surfers Paradise and Main Beach. Theyre a source
of pride for Gold Coasters and a source of awe
    for tourists.

4
  • The beaches are clean, feature convenient
walking trails along the coast line, are close to
restaurants and cafés, offer barbecue and picnic
areas, are home to interesting wildlife and have
some of the best surfing spots on the planet.
Theyre perhaps the greatest attractions on the
Gold Coast and certainly the best spot to relax
    while on holiday.

5
Take in the View atop the Q1 Building
  • The Q1 Building in Surfers Paradise is the
most iconic building on the Gold Coast. And, the
most iconic part of Q1 is the SkyPoint
Observation Deck on the 77th or top floor. The
deck offers 360-degree views of the entire
coastline, as well as views of Hinterland, the
ocean and the Surfers Paradise skyline.

6
  • Not to mention, theres a restaurant/bar on
the deck, so you can have dinner with an
    unbelievable view.
  • If youre feeling a bit more adventurous, then
you might try the SkyPoint Climb. On the climb,
youll be strapped into a harness and given a
different view of Surfers Paradise, going up and
down the glass structure with a tour guide.

7
Play with the Animals at Currumbin Wildlife
Sanctuary
  • Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the
oldest and most beloved attractions on the Gold
Coast. It offers some of the most exotic wildlife
in Australia and is a time capsule for indigenous
culture and heritage. Not to mention, home of the
best wildlife hospital in the country.

8
  • The sanctuary features open wildlife
enclosures and interactive displays all in the
middle of a rainforest lined with eucalyptus
trees. Its family-friendly, and you and the
family can take a trip around the park in a
little train, go on a Segway Safari, learn about
the native culture during the Aboriginal Dance
Show, get a lesson from Dr. Doo-Lots, take the
Treetop Challenge or simply play with the animals.

9
  • You can cuddle the koalas, hand feed the
kangaroos, take a picture with the animals, watch
the Birds Flight or Crocodile Behaviour Show or
wave to the emus and wombats. Theres surely a
wide array of Wildlife Shows Events to choose
    from at Currumbin.

10
Do Some Whale Watching
  • The Gold Coast is one of the best whale
watching destinations in Australia. From May to
November the whales make their yearly migratory
trip and swim from the east in search of warmer
waters. The Gold Coast happens to be the perfect
spot, as the Coast sees 300 days of sun each
year, and more than 10,000 whales pass through
    during the 5-month migration season.

11
  • A whale watching trip is simple you choose an
operator, book a trip, then take a boat out to
one of the watching locations, including the
infamous Great Barrier Reef. Operators offer
several trip packages and some even come with
money-back guarantees in case you dont see any
    whales.
