Thattekad Bird Sanctuary

• The first bird sanctuary in Kerala. The great
  Ornithologist Salim Ali described this sanctuary
  as the richest bird habitat in India. This
  sanctuary is located in the banks of Periyar
  River. Orange-headed thrush, Large-billed
  leaf-warbler, Jerdon's nightjar, Indian cuckoo,
