North East is a traveler's paradise which is
famous for its natural beauty, diversely unique
and rare culture, people and wildlife. More than
160 different tribes with different languages and
culture makes North East India a fantastic
holiday destination. Throughout the year, many
festivals are celebrated demonstrating diversity
of culture through their folk dance, food and
arts. Wildlife sanctuaries and National Parks
where rare birds, plants and animals bestow
captivating insights to the visitors.

  • Tawang Monastery This monastery is the largest
    monastery in India, considered as the spiritual
    heaven with aura of peace and tranquil. Situated
    at a height of 10,000 feet in Arunachal Pradesh,

    is a Heritage site declared by UNESCO. This park
    is famous for endangered species - One-horned

    trekking circuits among climbers and hikers.
  • Cherrapunji Located in Meghalaya , Cherrapunji
    is the wettest place in the whole world.
    Cherrapunji is famous for root bridge under which
    you can camp or even climb this amazing bridges.
  • Nuranang Falls Nuranang Falls also know to
    world as bong bong fall is 100 meters in height.

  • Peak Season November to May This is the best
    period for visiting North East as there is no
    rain and winter is very pleasing and perfect for
    exploring this beautiful place. You can even
    enjoy Tawang festival celebrated during first
    week of May.
  • Off Season May to October If your monsoon
    lover, enjoy walking alongside dark clouds and
    relish waterfall, this is the perfect season for
    you.

  • By Air There are six airports in North East
    but four are most important located in Guwahati,
    Imphal, Dimapur and Agartala city. These airports
    have regular flights from New Delhi, Mumbai,
    Kolkata and Chennai. Reaching Manipur is very
    convenient and it is only 6 kms away from Imphal.
  • By Train The train journey is extremely
    scenic. All the major cities of India is well
    connected to Assam by railways. Assam and
    Arunachal Pradesh are the only states in North
    East with railways. The fastest train from Delhi
    is Rajdhani Express which is 28 hours long
    journey followed by North East Express which
    takes 32 hours.
  • By Road - Assam is well connected by road to all
    the adjourning states by roads. The drive from
    Siliguri to Sikkim is 114 km away. Direct Buses
    are also available from Assam and Shillong.
