  • When it comes to developing advertising budget,
    many questions arises. Should the amount be
    invested in older method of advertising
    (traditional) or invest in or try new method
    (digital)?. Its hard to decide which trend have
    faded and is trending. There are two methods of
    advertising- traditional and digital.

  • Social media, search engines, and websites are
    used for advertising.

Traditional Advertising
  • Traditional advertising is an old method of
    marketing. Though traditional advertisements have
    a personalized touch but its hard to track the
    results. Example who read the ad in the
    newspaper, who switched another channel during
    the commercial on television.

Digital Advertising
  • With the growth of technology, digital marketing
    is booming rapidly. Many businesses have shifted
    to online marketing as it is cost effective
    marketing method. Digital platforms give way to
    the business to reach a wide number of target
    audience. Digital advertising makes it easier to
    measure the traffic to the website.
  • Nowadays, a large number of people are socially
    active and this makes it effective to reach the
    target audience. Smartphones are a leading and
    growing digital platforms. Now advertising and
    reaching to the customers directly with the help
    of phones have become much easier.

Cost Effect
  • Traditional
  • It is very expensive for advertising on
    television, hoarding, newspaper etc. The
    effectiveness of the ads cannot be measured as
    there is no tracking system. The results can be
    seen only when customer calls or visits the
    office.
  • Digital
  • Digital advertising is not expensive as the
    budget involved to advertise on social media and
    search engines is less compared to traditional.
    The budget is under control and it is more
    effective as we can specify who will see the ads,
    location, age groups etc.
