Currently, Eugene Daniels is managing his own
design and consultation practice (Studio D) in
Halifax. Here, he works with an expert team of
architects, engineers, artists, contractors and
manufacturers to achieve the best possible design
for his clients. At the Studio D, he also served
as a consultant to United Gulf Developments
(Sister of Charity, Mother House) and a number of
projects.

Being a multi-disciplinary interior designer
based in Baltimore, Maryland Eugene Daniels was
a professor for 7 years in the environmental
design, interior architecture and foundation
departments at the Maryland Institute College of
Art. In addition to this, he also served the
school in and administrative capacity as the
Director of undergraduate admission. Alongside,
he is a community artist who helps in providing
artistic opportunities and exposure for children
having little access to the means to participate
in the arts.

Eugene Daniels has completed his masters degree
in Architecture from Morgan State University in
1994 and his graduation from Maryland Institute
College of Arts in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts
degree (Dual Major in General Fine Arts and
Interior Architecture). And at present, he is
pursuing Ph. D. in Educational Administration and
Social Policy. He has a great proficient in many
office and design computer applications including
Microsoft Word, MS Excel, People-Soft, Auto CAD,
MS PowerPoint, and Photoshop.

As an architect, Eugene Daniels created an
affordable and functional shelter, known as
eHome that would respect the individuals
dignity while creating a sense of community. This
home was designed to keep safe and secure the
housing. Moreover, it is a simple, low-cost,
energy self-sufficient modular structure and
inspired by the easy-to-assemble principles of
Swedish furniture design. And each e-Home can be
put together in 45 minutes by two people using an
Allen wrench. This is cost effective and
environmental friendly solution which reduces
labor and save space, at the same time, providing
superior protection at every stage of a shelters
travel fabrication cycle.
