To promote IT city as IT HUB ,33 companies have been allotted land in IT City in which 50 acres land allotted to M/s Infosys Ltd. Scheme has been launched which shall close after allotment of all the plots offered for various sites viz. IT/ITES Services , Technology based Non-Polluting / Research Development facilities. HDFC Bank will consolidate its IT operations for north India at the Mohali facility. 

• Scheme for allotment of industrial plots of 500
  Sq. Yards and 1000 Sq. Yards in IT City coming
  shortly.
• Option of taking adjacent plot also available.

September 15, 2016 First international flight
lands from Sharjah to Mohali and takes off from
Mohali to Sharjah on the same day. Deputy Chief
Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal travels in the
flight to Sharjah with a delegation of 40 trade
members.
September 26, 2016 First international flight to
Dubai took off from Chandigarh airport carrying
127 passengers. Airport facilities still basic.
