Bed Bug Control Some Tips
2
  • Bed bugs are the small, reddish-brown, flat
insects that feed upon the blood humans and
animals. They usually feed on their hosts when
they are asleep, hence the name bed bug. Once
thought to have been eradicated from developed
countries, they are now back in large numbers.

3
  • Their sudden resurgence in numbers has made it
necessary to initiate some radical measures to
    check their growth.

4
  • Due to their small size, they are able to hide
away in the tiniest of spaces. They move from one
place to other through the suitcases and clothes
of people while staying in bed bug infested
    areas.

5
  • You must note that personal hygiene has nothing
to do with bed bug control. Their name does not
imply that they are related to sleeping areas
alone. They can be found everywhere from couches
and walls to cabinets and chairs. Thus, we cant
safely vouch any place to be free from them and
the whole house must be thoroughly searched
    during cleansing.

  • Studies reveal that bed bugs do not transmit any
disease to humans. But some people are quite
allergic to their bites. Swelling and itchiness
of skin are some signs of an allergic reaction.

8
  • Although only a small percentage of people are
allergic to their bites, in extreme cases their
cause chest pain, dizziness, wheezing, rashes and
    mild fevers.

  • Hence, it is always better to have your homes
periodically checked for bed bugs to save a trip
to a hospital. Bed bugs are very difficult to
kill. For one thing, they are extremely hard to
find. In recent years, they have also shown
    resilience to ordinary pesticides.

10
  • Prolonged exposure to toxics and large number of
offspring in each generation ensures that normal
pesticides have no effect on them. Bed bug
control mainly involves, deterring their habitat,
eradicating their members and reducing their
    numbers.

11
  • One must be quite thorough in controlling bed
bugs. Just by missing a spot or a few eggs, you
will experience a new outbreak again in a weeks
time. Hence, professional help have to be
obtained to ensure that complete eradication of
bed bugs occur, as it requires a better
