INTRODUCTION

• Dentures are the false teeth, specifically used
  to restore the person's dental functions,
  aesthetics, and maintain the over all health of
  the oral tissues or the rest of the teeth.
• These dentures provide great support to the
  facial structure and at the same time make
  chewing and swallowing easier.

Types Of Dentures

• 1. Full Denture
• In this, all the missing teeth are completely
  replaced. These can be worn on the upper as well
  as lower jaw, according to the requirement.
• 2.Partial Denture
• These replace the missing teeth against the
  remaining teeth. They fill the gaps completely
  and are ideal for both upper as well as lower jaw.

Process of Denture Fitting Session

• 1. The first step is, a dentist takes the
  impression and registration of the bite. The
  impression is sent to the laboratory in order to
  create a mold and the samples.
• 2. Once, the wax-testing is done, the person is
  required to make a follow-up appointment for the
  fitting. The dentist will make adjustments to
  fit, shape up and check the colour.
• 3. Once a mold is created, the final denture is
  ordered.

In Case Of Any Damages

• In case there is any damage to the denture, It is
  important to contact a doctor and get a new set
  of dentures. Depending upon the damages, it can
  also be fabricated. However, it is advisable not
  to use the damaged dentures, as they may lead to
  further dental problems.
