Title: Lake Fork Crappie Fishing
1Lake Fork Crappie Fishing Lake Fork crappie
fishing remains good and the crappie have moved
into their winter patterns. I am catching crappie
at the 33-37 foot depth and the best baits have
been minnows and electric chicken colored jigs.
This is the time of year you must keep your first
25 crappie you catch. So you will have different
sized in your catch. But if you decide to try
Lake Fork crappie fishing during the months of
March through November the length is 10 inches or
better. This time of the year is no secret where
everyone is looking for crappie. Check out the
areas around the damn and the mouth of Little
Caney on the deeper flats. You will see the bait
fish on your electronics and you will also see
the crappie around them. Just look for all the
boats in those areas and you will also find where
everyone is fishing for the crappie.
2Winter Crappie Fishing Lake Fork Time to come
crappie fishing on Lake Fork and catch some deep
water crappie. December and January is the time
to enjoy catching a good mess of crappie to take
home. I am catching crappie on humps in 33-36
feet of water. They would normally be deeper but
the water has not really cooled of enough to send
them into the true deep winter pattern. Once
they close the bite will improve. The bass bite
has also been good and I am now throwing a
black/blue jig with a 11 black pork trailer
around the deeper creek channels. I am targeting
the bigger stumps and working the jig slow. If
you are planning a crappie fishing trip next year
I am now doing my crappie fishing, sand bass
fishing, and catfishing trips out of my 22 foot
bay boat.
3Summer Crappie Sand Bass Fishing Summer
crappie sand bass fishing on Fork is something
the family can do and have a real blast!! Kids
can catch fish and you can take a mess of fish
home to eat at the same time. Check out my guide
service, I furnish everything for your trip no
matter if we are bass, crappie sand bass
fishing. Since the water came up seven feet,
the bass fishing has been slow. We had 5 years of
growth on the banks and now its in the water and
the bass are really scattered. It has not been
hot enough to start the schooling process which
usually takes place this time of year. I am
finding a few bass deep but not the numbers we
should be finding this time of year. A chrome
rattletrap, swim bait, and spoon are catching
what bass have moved deeper.
4Lake Fork Bass Crappie Fishing Fall is almost
here and the bass crappie fishing on Fork will
just get better as we go. Cooler weather is
suppose to be here tonight which will start
dropping the water temperature just in time for
the Big Bass Splash which is next weekend. The
bass bite has been some what slow but I expect
the cooler weather to wake them up. I have been
catching bass several ways. Starting with a spook
early in the morning, as soon as it is light
enough to see. Make sure it has a white belly.
Once the sun gets up, I am throwing a Carolina
rig and keeping the spook handy incase of a blow
up with in casting distance. I am fishing the
Carolina rig out to about 18 ft using a
watermelon red baby brush hog.
