Title: History of Diamond

1
History of diamond
2
  • According to some historians, the earliest
diamonds were found in India in the 4th Century
BC. Majority of the diamonds were transported
between India and China via the Silk Road, which
was the network of trade routes between India and
    China.
  • For a very long time, India was considered the
only source of diamonds. However, this changed
gradually, and in the 1700s, Brazil emerged as a
major supplier of diamonds and retained that
    position for almost 150 years.

History of diamond
  • Things changed by late 1700s and the diamond
market experienced an evolution. The old trend
that witnessed rich ruling classes being the
major consumers of diamonds was declining.
  • The affluence increased in Europe and The United
    States.
  • Explorers unearthed diamond deposits in South
Africa in the late 1800s and by 1900 South
    African entrepreneurs controlled approximately
    90 of worlds diamond production.

Use of diamonds as engagement rings
  • Though less visible, feet also have the right to
look pretty. And, one of the few things that can
beautify feet are anklets. Multi-layered anklets
can give a royal look to your feet too. Just club
them with right color of nail polish and you are
good to go. Dont forget to flaunt your anklets.
Pull up your lehenga, slightly and walk down the
way to your husband-to-be, like a diva.

5
  • In the 20th century, A diamond is forever
campaign was launched with the suggestion that
only diamond should be used for engagement rings.
  • This was a very successful campaign and in
todays world, 78 of the engagement rings sold
    contain diamonds.
