Polyisocyanurate Foam

polyiso foam. This is a thermoset plastic that is
typically produced as foam. It is a used as rigid
thermal insulation. Methylene Diphenyl
Diisocyanate (MDI) is used in making this foam.
The reaction of MDI and polyol take place at high
temperature. The first reaction of MDI occurs in
itself that produces a stiff, ring molecule that
is a reactive intermediate. The tri-isocyanate
and rest of MDI react with polyol in order to
create a complex poly polymer. It is foamed in
