Withdrawal Management

• Residential Withdrawal Management (Sub-Acute
  Detoxification) is an organized service that is
  delivered by appropriately trained staff, who
  provide 24-hour supervision, observation, and
  support for clients who are intoxicated or
  experiencing withdrawal.  This level emphasizes
  peer and social support rather than on medical or
  nursing care.  This is a medically supervised
  service.  However, the Harbor Hall Medical
  Director and Clinical Director are on call 24/7
  to screen a potential clients appropriateness
  for this level of care and to provide Harbor Hall
  detoxification staff with direction and guidance
  as needed.   This service is delivered to adult
  males age 18 and older.
• There are three immediate goals for Withdrawal
  Management (Sub Acute Detoxification)
• To assure safe withdrawal from a persons
  substance of abuse/misuse.
• To deliver the service that is both humane and
  protects the individuals dignity.
• To prepare the individual for on-going treatment
  and therapy.

OUTPATIENT TREATMENT PROGRAMS

• In an effort to provide wrap-around service to
  our clients, our outpatient offices offer an
  array of flexible treatment programming. 
  Services include forensic assessments,
  individual, group and family therapies and,
  on-site breathalyzer and drug testing.  Our
  outpatient offices have served the communities in
  Emmet, Charlevoix and Cheboygan counties for over
  15 years.  With day and evening schedules, we
  strive to accommodate everyones daily schedule
  while meeting the demands of their treatment
  needs.

• Forensic assessment accurate and affordable
  assessment and reporting to serve the client who
  has legal issues.
• Gender specific therapies because one size
  doesnt fit all.
• A continuum of substance use disorder therapy
  based upon client diagnosis and need.
• Coordinated treatment services aligned with other
  agencies such as probation/parole, dept. of human
  services, court services and  professional
  monitoring programs.
• Integrated relapse prevention services.
• Adolescent treatment services.

RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT CENTER

• At Harbor Hall, we believe that substance-related
  disorders affect the whole person and is
  reflected in the individuals problems with
  conduct, attitudes, values, beliefs and emotion
  regulation.  The goal of treatment is to
• Promote abstinence from substance use
• Address other addictive behaviors and antisocial
  tendencies
• Address any co-occurring condition (both physical
  and mental)
• Affect change in the clients lifestyles
• Promote self-worth
• Improve decision making
• Develop relapse prevention strategies
• This level of care serves individuals who need a
  safe and structured therapeutic environment. 
  This living environment enables the client to
  develop, practice and demonstrate the skills
  necessary to maintain sobriety and recovery.

TRANSITIONAL LIVING

• The Transitional Living Facility is designed with
  the simple understanding that not all people are
  ready to jump out into independent living after
  completing treatment.  Some clients develop the
  awareness that going back to their communities
  can be risky to early recovery and can lead to a
  relapse. Harbor Hall has sought to alleviate some
  of these transitional problems by providing a
  low-cost, supportive living environment.
• This level of care serves individuals who need a
  safe and structured therapeutic environment. 
  This living environment enables the client to
  develop, practice and demonstrate the skills
  necessary to maintain sobriety and recovery.
