Management Skills for Engineering in 1985,

Between 2010 and 2015, Joshua Safeek worked as
the Chairman of Caricom Cement Co., Inc., which
offered a range of services, such as cement
manufacturing and infrastructural works. Under
his stewardship, the company established the
first complete, integrated cement plant in
Everton, Berbice, Guyana. The company also
developed the infrastructural works for the
Republic Gardens Housing Development on the East
Bank of Demerara. His industrial engineering
expertise proved crucial in the role, especially
in regards to making company processes more
efficient. His time in the United States allowed
him to develop a greater appreciation for other
cultures and he has used much of what he learned
during this period of his life in his business
ventures in Guyana.
