Acupuncture alleviates pain, decreases stress,
and improves vitality. Acupuncture treatment
balances the nervous system and increases blood
circulation making the environment for healing
optimal. It helps the body heal itself.
3
When a needle is placed in your body a nerve
sends a signal to your brain, your brain then
sends immune cells, hormones and increased blood
circulation into the area where the needle is
placed. Blood flow will also increase in the
organs and glands that are connected to that
acupuncture point.

Each acupuncture point has the ability to
communicate with organs and glands in the body.
When the hair-thin needles are gently placed into
the point, the imbalances will be corrected.
5
Using acupuncture to access the body's built in
ability to heal we change the course of a persons
health and life. Healthy people are happier and
that's exactly what acupuncture can do!

Acupuncture is one of the main branches of
Traditional Chinese medicine. It facilitates the
healing of physical, emotional, and mental
disease. Acupuncture is performed by inserting
hair thin needles into acupuncture points that
may be located on the arms, legs, back, or even
in the ear. Acupuncture points are found along
14 specific pathways running throughout the
entire body. These pathways are called meridians.
Each one of these meridians has specific organ
systems, emotions and anatomical locations that
they connect to. For example If a patient has
stomach ulcers, our medical providers may choose
acupuncture points along the stomach meridian to
treat the ulcer. If anxiety accompanies a patient
complaint then our providers may also add points
along the heart meridian.
