Title: Christian Heesch is a Marine Biologist

1
Christian Heesch is a Marine Biologist
With a doctorate in the field of marine biology,
New York native Christian Heesch uses the
scientific method throughout his work. This
method, when applied to marine studies, involves
a four step process. The first step in the
process is characterization, the act of observing
the elements underwater and their functions.
Next, he creates a hypothesis, which is an
educated theoretical or hypothetical explanation
for the events observed. Finally, he will predict
what is to occur in the final phases and conduct
his own experiment.

Christian Heesch on Marine Biology and
Microbiology
During his work as a Marine Biologist, recent
Ph.D. graduate Christian Heesch has ventured into
the sub-field of microbiology. Microbiology is
the study of all microscopic organisms on the
planet. This can include protozoa, algae,
bacteria, and even viruses. Marine biology and
microbiology are linked because ninety-eight
percent of the ocean's biomass consists of
bacteria. Those bacteria play an important role
in how and why the ocean and wildlife in the
waters live or die as they do.

Christian Heesch, a Marine Biologist, Understands
Fisheries Management
One of the areas that recent Ph.D. graduate
Christian Heesch studies as a marine biologist is
that of fisheries management. This field, which
is a member of the marine biology specialty, is
focused on the fish species' health and
population. Scientists and researchers explore
the impact of overfishing, the pollution and
toxin levels in certain bodies of water, and the
destruction of the fish habitats in the wild. All
of these issues play a part in the dwindling fish
populations.
