• Yelagiri or Elagiri is a small hill station
  located in between the towns of Vaniyambadi and
  Jolarpettai (Tamil Nadu, India). dating back to
  the British colonial days.
• Yelagiri is famous for its lack of noise. The
  beautiful rustic surroundings are extraordinarily
  quiet .
• There are places to visit in Yelagiri which are
  also very popular among adventure enthusiasts for
  trekking, paragliding etc.

• The magnificent hill station celebrates the
  Summer Festival every year in May and June. In
  the event, one can enjoy the pleasure of folk
  dances as well as various types of cultural
  programmes.
• June to February is the most pleasant time to be
  in Yelagiri.The Yelagiri Paragliding Club hosts
  an international paragliding festival around
  September which is a major attraction of Yelagiri
  Tourism.
• Yelagiri is not as developed as other popular
  hill stations in Tamil Nadu but the state
  government has stepped up efforts and is
  promoting adventure activities and sports like
  trekking, rock climbing and paragliding to
  attract tourists.
