- No of Questions 40 items
- Questions Type Texts are taken from
magazines, journals, books and newspapers. A
short glossary will be provided if candidates are
unware of any words or would not be expected to
know.

- Test Consists 2 Tasks
- Time Given 60 minutes
- Questions Type Task 1, Task 2
- Task 1 The candidate has to summarise, explain
or describe a diagram, graph, process or chart. - Task 2 The candidate has to respond to an
argument in a short essay of at least 250 words.

newspapers. Texts become progressively harder.

- Task 1 The candidate has a letter writing task
of at least 150 words. - Task 2 The candidate has a short essay task of

15IELTS Band Score
Candidates receive band score from 1 to 9 on each
of the 4 modules Listening, Reading, Writing and
Speaking. Overall Band Score is the result of the
average of these 4 scores which has been rounded
to the nearest whole or half band.
