• The job of a lift installer is divided into three
  stages

  installed elevator and
• Stage 3 wherein they are called in to repair

• Determination of the types of equipment required
  for a lift installation on the basis of the
  blueprint drawn by a civil engineer,
• Facilitating the proper installation or repair of
  the required cables, control systems and motors
  etc., based on the design,
• Keeping a regular check to ensure no
  malfunctioning occurs in the control systems,
  brakes, motors and switches of the lift
  installed,
• Ensuring proper connection of the electrical
  wiring to the motors and control panels of the
  lift being installed,
• Using the required instruments such as voltmeters
  and ammeters to ensure smooth functioning of the
  lift and prevent failures resulting from
  electrical anomalies,
• Adjusting the door mechanisms, safety controls
  and counterweights in the correct manner,
• Ensuring that the installed lift complies with
  all the required building safety codes and
  regulations set by the government and
• Keep a detailed log book or service record of all
  repair and maintenance work carried out.
