• New Beginnings is an addiction treatment
  facility with a multi-disciplinary approach to
  treating patients with addiction. All forms of
  addiction are treated, with some of the more
  common conditions treated being Alcohol, Opioid,
  Heroin, Marijuana, Cigarette, Methamphetamine,
  Cocaine, Inhalant, Hallucinogen, Gambling
  addictions. New Beginnings offers comprehensive
  medical services such as medication management,
  as well as wrap around services such as family
  therapy, employment guidance. We, at New
  Beginnings, understand that addiction is a
  disease and must be treated in the context of the
  whole person including his/her family and work
  environment.

Psychiatry

• Forty percent (40) of patient with substance
  abuse disorders have co-occurring mental health
  conditions, and nineteen (19) percent of mental
  health patients have substance abuse disorders.
  As a result, New Beginnings evaluates all patient
  for substance abuse induced mental health
  conditions as well as co-occurring mental health
  disorders, and these are treated concurrently
  with the substance abuse disorder.

Medical Management

• Patients are treated with various medications,
  after receiving a complete health assessment by a
  medical doctor. These medications help the
  patient tolerate withdrawal and craving which are
  common with substance abuse disorders.
  Furthermore, any co-occurring medical conditions,
  such as liver failure, hepatitis, anxiety
  disorder, bipolar, etc. are managed concurrently.

Therapy

• New Beginnings counselors are all license in the
  state of IN for addiction treatment services and
  utilize validated treatment programs including
  Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Network
  Therapy, Family Therapy, Motivational
  Enhancement, etc.

Regular Assessment

• All patients are evaluated with initially with
  validated questionnaires such as the Addiction
  Severity Index (ASI), and Recovery Attitude and
  Treatment Evaluator (RAATE). These tools help
  assess the resistance and motivation for change
  in the patient. With each follow up visit, the
  patient is evaluated for compliance and success
  in navigating the abstinence phase. Each patient
  receives a report card for various areas of
  his/her ability to remain abstinent and manage
  the environmental stressors and triggers to
  substance abuse.
