Storm Water Tank
Storm water tanks are one of the common sight all
over Sydney area. Despite the fact that water
restrictions are popular, water rates still
increase. It is logical to install a storm water
tank to decrease the water bills or to collect
storm rainwater to keep your garden green. If you
have a storm water tank, there is no need for you
to locate near a farming community. About storm
water tanks The construction of a storm water
tank is mostly from plastic (polyethylene),
concrete, galvanised steel, fibreglass and
stainless steel which are resistant to both rust
and chemicals. The tanks are often deployed on
the surface and opaque to avoid the the exposure
of stored water to sunlight. To protect the tanks
from insects, debris, animals and bird droppings,
it is usually best to use screens to cover. Most
of the steel tanks is designed with a plastic
inner lining to enhance the life of the tank,
avoid leakage and protect water quality. Apart
from rooftops, the tanks can be also be set up to
collect stormwater from patios, driveways and
other surfaces. Initial sizes typically ranged in
capacity from around 400 to 100,000 litres.
Smaller tanks, such as the plastic 208-litre
(55-gallon barrel) are also used in some
cases. Why choose your storm water tanks
provider? Because Sydney covers such a large
area, the range of storm water tanks is very big.
If you have lots of space, then having an above
ground storm water tanks is your best way to go,
but if your space is limited then the best option
for you would be a slimline storm water tanks
that are ideal for those narrow locations on the
side of your house. If your space is limited and
you do not want a storm water tank to be much
visible, then a bladder tank, an under deck tank
or even an underground stormwater tank might be
best for you. These options can be more costly,
mostly because of design and the digging that is
required for installing an underground stormwater
tanks but they will give you the best solution
for deploying a rainwater tank in
densely-populated Sydney.
