Five Great Tips for Choosing an Evening Dress
OK, so youve been invited to an event and you
need to wear an evening dress. The only problem
is that you're stuck in terms of choice you just
dont know which dress to choose.   Dont worry,
there are several steps involved in finding the
right dress, and if you haven't put them in to
place, then of course you will feel overwhelmed
with it.   Fortunately, we have outlined these
steps below. Just familiarise yourself with these
five steps, and you will never go wrong when
choosing a dress.   In fact, you can generalise
these steps to your entire wardrobe, and never
dress badly again! Um, well maybe not never, we
all make mistakes its just that you'll be much
less likely to make any mistakes.

OK, here goes. Our five steps to the perfect
dress
1. Do some research fashions change, and what
looked great three years ago, might not look so
good now. Sure, fashion is about self-expression,
but you do need to toe the line somewhat,
otherwise you can look odd. Your first step is to
look at the latest fashions. Choose a reliable
source, such as one of the glossy magazines, or
one of their websites. Dont just pick any old
style, but choose those that speak to you, that
seem to have your personality in mind.

2. Decide on the silhouette next, you need to
work out which type of dress silhouette will look
good for your body shape. To do this, you need to
work out what your body shape is. There are
plenty of online resources to help you, but if
you become confused, then just visit your local
dressmaker and ask them to advise you about your
body shape.   Once you know your body
shape, you will be able to work out which evening
dresses suit that shape. For example, an empire
dress suits all body shapes, while a fitted dress
works best on the hourglass shape.

3. Imagine how you'll look in the dress before
you even start to shop for dresses, you can use
your imagination to help you work out how good
they will look. You already know which
silhouettes best suit you, now picture them in
your mind which colours work best, which
lengths, which accessories.   The better
you are at envisioning your new dress, the better
your choices will be. Take note of all the things
that you consider a must have, or that you really
like. For example, if you pictured wool dresses,
then its clear that those are the ones you like
at the moment. Take note of all the good points,
and then you can shop with these in mind.

• 4. Think about the reason you're buying the
  dress before you get too carried away, remember
  that you're looking for evening dresses, so keep
  the rules of that engagement in mind at all
  times. For instance, if its a black-tie event,
  you need to adapt all these rules to suit
  black-tie events. If its a little less formal,
  then adapt accordingly.

  limitless amounts of money to spend on your
  dress, then set your budget. This will help you
  to avoid looking at racks and in shops that are
  beyond your price range. It helps to avoid
