restored in India and Tata Airlines became a
public limited company on 29th July 1946 under
the name Air India. - In 1948, after the independence of India, 49 of
the airline was acquired by the Government of
India, with an option to purchase an additional

designated flag carrier under the name Air India
International. - This was the airline's first long-haul
international flight, soon followed by service in

1960s
- On 15Nov 1961 VT-DIH Was got damaged during
landing. - On 11Sep 1963 VT-DIO crashed south of Agra and 18
people killed on this. - On 18Feb 1969 VT-CJH was crashed on take off from
Jaipur to Sanganer and 30 people survived.
1970s
- On 29Aug 1970 Fokker F27 was killing the 5 crew
members and 34 passengers. - On 11Aug 1972 Fokker F27, at New Delhi lost
altitude and crashed, 14 passenger was killed.
And many more Incidents was occurred on 1980,
1990.

21CONCLUSION
In 2007, the Government of India announced that
India would be merged into Air India, as part of
the merger process, a new company called the
National Aviation Company of India Limited and
now it called Air India Limited. It's
headquartered in Mumbai and would have a fleet of
over 130 aircraft. Now headquartered moves to New
Delhi.
