  • Every trader, new or experienced, has to be
aware of what technical analysis is. It is
basically the study of investor behavior which
effects the subsequent price action of the
financial instruments. The main data which you
will need for performing the studies is the price
history of the instrument, time and the volume
    information.

  • Some people question is technical analysis
similar to fundamental analysis? Well no, both
are different terms. In fundamental analysis,
your concern is to establish the value of stocks
and other instruments. The analyst who is
supposed to perform fundamental analysis works
with the complex inter relationship of financial
    statements, quality of management, demand
forecast, growth, and earnings. Then, he makes
judgment on the share, the commodity and the
    financial instrument.

  • Technical analysis is known as the key of
monitoring the investor sentiment. The technical
traders use a combination of fundamental analysis
and technical analysis to get the best results.
Lots of investors and experts find technical
analysis is an extremely reliable approach. There
lots of approaches to technical analysis. Some of
them are cyclical analysis, Eliot wave theory,
Dow Theory and Fibonacci analysis. This technique
is a highly subjective process. The success is
dependent on how much experienced the user is.
The more experienced you are, the better way you
can determine the pattern and the possible trend
reversal. This is one reason why most of the
    traders combine technical analysis and
fundamental analysis. It is going to be extremely
suitable if you are planning about the entry and
    exit points for the positions.

5
  • Although it is being widely used but there are
some traders to call it subjective and criticize
it. The only problem is that people see different
things when they analyze charsets on the basis of
their knowledge and experience. Nevertheless, if
you follow the analysis techniques right, you
will find it useful in trading indeed.
