  • This is one of the most popular trek that you can
    do in short period of time. From Triund you have
    most spectacular view of the snow covered peaks
    of dhauladhar one side and Kangra valley on the
    other. You have got different view at different
    time of the day-Sunset, moonrise, sunrise all
    present a different picture of the place. Triund
    is a short trek from Mcleodganj which can be done
    easily over a weekend. The main attraction is the
    sight of snowline and high mountain ranges. This
    is a small and an easy trek, which can be done
    either from McLeodganj or Dharamkot, which is 2
    km ahead of McLeodganj. The trail is 7 km from
    Dharamkot and passes Galu Devi temple. From this
    temple, it takes around 3 hours to reach Triund.
    The initial half of the trek is a gradual incline
    and the last 2 km from Snowline Café involve a
    steep climb all the way till Triund (2,975
    metres).

    ascending trail through holly oak and spruce
    forests. There is an easy glacial crossing over
    the stream running down from Kareri Lake during
    early summer. As you reach the secluded meadows
    of Harote, Kareri Lake is another 4 km trek up
    the narrow valley along the stream.

    Pass. Malana in Himachal Pradesh is a tribal
    village, which is considered as the oldest

    Baralacha Pass on the Manali-Leh road. Malana
    trek lies a little ahead of the beautiful Chandra
    Khanni Pass in the tiny village of Malana, an
    isolated community that has its own language,
    customs and laws, governed by a parliament of
