Anthropology is a science, which studies the
origin and the physical, social, and cultural
development and behavior of mankind. It
encompasses the study of the origin of human
species as well as its cultural and social
structures. Besides, Anthropology also studies
the evolution of man at different ages as well as
the physical and cultural diversity among humans,
living at the same period of time, at various
parts of the world in diverse environments.

In order to pursue a Bachelor degree in
Anthropology, the student must have completed
his/ her higher secondary education or 102 with
biology as the subject and minimum of 50 per cent
marks. In order to pursue the Masters degree in
Anthropology program in Anthropology the student
must have a bachelors degree in the relevant
subject.

institutes to other students of Anthropology.
Anthropological Survey of India is the major
recruiter for anthropologists in the country both
at the centre and at the state levels as well.
