Agronomy, a branch of agricultural science is a
practice that looks at agriculture from an
integrated, holistic perspective. It is the
application of science and technology to
agriculture to boost the quality and yield of
crops, and to solve problems with pests, weeds,
waste and resource management.

Candidates who passed 102 in science discipline
are eligible for this course. Candidates with the
bachelors degree in Agriculture can pursue master
level in Agronomy in India.

As plant scientists, agronomists can have many
career paths, but their careers are generally
focused on increasing the quality and amount of
food produced for the nation's food supply. Many
graduates are employed in farm management or go
on to manage their own farms, others use the
breadth of skills and experience that they
develop during their degree to follow a range of
opportunities in the service and supply
industries.
