1. Cheese Bread Roll
  • Cheese bread rolls are very popular in New
    Zealand and come under the category off healthy
    snacks. People love to eat this as main dish, as
    it is made up of vegetables such as carrots,
    green peas, mashed potatoes etc.
  • Preparation Time - 0 min
  • Cooking Time - 15 min
  • Serves - 4

  • Bread Slices - 4 or 5
  • Mashed Potato - 1 Cup
  • Grated Carrot - 50 gm
  • Grated Paneer - 25 gm
  • Grated Cheese - 25 gm
  • Boiled Green Peas - 1 Cup
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 Tsp
  • Garam Masala Powder - 2 Tsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Oil - For Frying

  • Method
  • Heat oil in a pan and add ginger garlic paste,
    once the oil is hot. Add grated carrot and boiled
    green peas, mashed potatoes, garam masala powder
    and salt to taste. Now, add grated paneer and let
    the mixture cool for 5 minutes.
  • Add grated cheese, once the mixture is cool and
    stir well. Make a small balls and keep it aside.
  • Now take a bread slice and cut the 4 corners with
    a knife. Wet the bread slice with little water
    and squeeze the water.
  • Now, put vegetable a ball in center of a bread
    slice and start rolling. Heat oil in a pan and
    fry this roll until it becomes light brown color.
  • Bread Cheese Roll is ready to serve with ketchup.

  • 1tsp finely chopped garlic
  • 1/4 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red capsicum
  • 1/2 sliced onion
  • 1/4 cup parboiled beans sprouts
  • 2tbsp carrots cut into juliennes
  • a pinch of sugar
  • salt to taste

  • 1tbsp chilli garlic sauce ( I made it at home)
  • 1/2 tbsp tomato Ketchup
  • 2tbsp grated low fat paneer.
  • Ingredients for samosa patties -
  • 3/4 cup Maida
  • 2tbsp Ghee
  • salt to taste

  • Method for filling
  • Sauté garlic for a few seconds in a pan. Add the
    onions, cabbage, red capsicum, beans sprouts,
    carrots, salt. Sauté on medium flame for 2-3
    mins.
  • Add the chili garlic sauce, tomato Ketchup. Mix
    well n cook on a medium flame for by stirring
    constantly. Add the paneer, mix well n cook for
    another min. Divide the mixture into 15 equal
    portion and let it cool.
  • Method for samosa patties
  • Mix Maida with salt and ghee, and knead a hard
    dough with lukewarm water. Roll and make
    rectangular patties.

  • Cooking process
  • Cut the samosa Patti into 3 pieces. Place a piece
    of the patty on a flat dry surface and place a
    portion of the filling at on pointed edge.
  • Roll each Patti towards the opposite pointed
    edge. Then, stick the edges to form a cylindrical
    shape. Bake in pre heated oven at 150 for 20-30
    mins or till they turn brown and crisp.
  • Serve hot with ketchup or sauce.

Tip
  • You can add a pinch of garam masala for added
    flavor.
  • Apply a little oil to the rolls before baking
    them. For more golden color, you can brush the
    rolls with egg white.
  • You can apply butter after removing from oven to
    enhance the taste of rolls.
  • Coat the rolls with bread crumbs to make them
    crisp.
