2What is Land Pooling Policy
Land Pooling means land parcels owned by
individuals or group of owners legally
consolidated by transfer of ownership rights to
the designated Land Pooling Agency, which
transfers the ownership of the part of land back
to the landowners for undertaking development for
such areas, as per the provisions of the Delhi
Development Act 1957 and the prescribed
procedure.

4Aimed at preventing land acquisition
- Land Pooling policy, approved by the Authority,
removes the bottleneck of Land acquisition by DDA
at Govt. fixed prices.
5Direct deal with Developer Entity
- The land-owners can now sell their land to any
Developer Entity (DE) at the Market rate.
6Owner can act as Developer Entity
- Group of land owners can themselves join and act
as Developer Entity.
7Pooling of Land by interested owners
- Developer Entities will then pool their land and
surrender to DDA for infrastructural development.
8 Land Pooled by DDA
- There are two basic types of Land Pooling which
have been announced so far - 20 hectares and above where 60 of land would be
returned to the land owner - 02 and 20 hectares, where about 48 of land
pooled would be returned to the land owner

11Role of DDA in Infrastructure Development
- Time bound development of Master Plan Roads.
- Create provision for physical infrastructure
- Water supply
- Sewerage
- Drainage
- Provision of social infrastructure
- Traffic and transportation infrastructure
including metro corridors. - External development in a time bound manner
12Role of DE in Infrastructure Development
- Approval of layout/ detailed plan from DDA.
- Demarcation of roads as per layout and sector
plan - Develop sectors/internal roads/
infrastructure/services in its share of land. - water power supply lines,
- rain water harvesting,
- STP/WTP etc.
- Timely completion of development and its
maintenance with all facilities - i.e open spaces, roads and services till the
area is handed over to the municipal corporation.
