What Customers Say About It?

• I have several Abu Garcia reels, e.g. 5500's a
  6500C3, and love them, but this reel is sweet in
  the hand very comfortable to use. The low
  profile is a more natural fit to the hands than
  the full circle 5500's yet it has a strong
  retrieval. I already had a rod to put it on and
  works fine however, I will be ordering the
  matched reel/rod combos in the future. I use the
  larger reels a for different purpose. I use the
  5500's and the 6500C3 when targeting catfish so I
  am not constantly casting as for bass or crappie.

• Q Do u recomend this on what type of rod?
• ABerkeley cherrywood med heavy. It is
  inexpensive, casts well with this reel, and is
  sensitive even though it has some casting
  backbone. Tried lighter rods, but they don't seem
  to throw as well with this reel.
